The Gender and non-discrimination Programme of the ITC-ILO is pleased to announce the launch of its Gender Academy, a two-week international training event on gender, work and employment. It will take place from November 21 to December 2, 2011, on the campus of the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, Italy.
The Gender Academy is addressed to development professionals from all over the world with a view to offering an exclusive forum for discussion and a platform for new experiences through exposure to high-level international expertise.
Topics (see the programme in progress at: http://gender.itcilo.org) will be presented and discussed in a series of master classes, while a range of elective workshops will offer additional insight into specific subjects, providing room for application and knowledge-sharing. The focus of the Academy is on “how to”, allowing participants to acquire tools and practical methods adaptable to their own environment.
